We're serious about making sure modern slavery has no place in our business or supply chain.

We believe in fairness, dignity, and respect for every individual, and we are determined to lead by example when it comes to upholding human rights.

Our anti-slavery efforts are not just about compliance, they are a reflection of our core values as a company.

Here's How We Take Action:

Vetting Our Suppliers

We have started the journey towards checking all of our suppliers to ensure they share our values of fair treatment and ethical practices. Before doing business, we aim to make sure they’re committed to human rights and safe working conditions.

Ongoing Monitoring

It’s not just about checking once and moving on. We have audited both our operations and visited our major suppliers to ensure everything stays above board. If we find any issues, we act quickly to fix them.

Clear Policies

Our internal anti-slavery policies set strict guidelines for how we operate and who we work with. These policies ensure that every part of our business, from sourcing to delivery, follows ethical labor standards.

Employee Training

We train our team to recognize the signs of modern slavery and exploitation so they can act if they see something wrong. At 4Cabling we know the importance of fair labor and is ready to help maintain those standards.

Safe Reporting Channels

We have created simple and confidential ways our employees to report concerns about unethical practices. Every report is taken seriously and investigated thoroughly. We are keeping a close eye on our operations, we’re doing our part to prevent modern slavery and maintain an ethical supply chain.

We’re dedicated to managing our environmental impact.

We believe that businesses have a responsibility to reduce their environmental footprint and actively contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable future. We continuously seek ways to incorporate clean, renewable energy into our operations and improve efficency through the use of energy-efficient products across our operations and supply chain. This includes transitioning to energy-efficient lighting and equipment in our facilities and reducing emissions through improved logistics practices.

Tackling Scope 1 & 2 Emissions:

Reducing Our Carbon Footprint – A Pathway to Net Zero

Reducing our Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions is at the core of our sustainability strategy.

We have taken action to offset our Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions and have achieved our target of carbon-neutrality for our scope 1 and 2 emissions across.  We achieved this by investing in projects that are in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. These projects include:

Biodiverse Carbon Conservation – Western Australia

We are committed to the ongoing measurement and management of our GHG emissions with an overarching net-zero emissions goal.

Understanding our emissions is the first step and in FY23 we conducted our baseline GHG assessment. This showed that our scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions for FY23 were 124.75 tCO2-e. This is equivalent to:

13,145 Blue
Mallee Trees1

8 People living
in Australia
per year2

7 Australian homes
powered per year3

60 Toyota
Yaris on the
road per year4

1802 iPhone

  1. Mature blue mallee trees are of at least 14 years of age. This is calculated based on blue mallee trees carbon storage of approximately 25.3t/hectare/year. Density per hectare based on 2666 trees.
  2. This is calculated based on estimation that the average person living in Australia has a carbon footprint of approximately 15t CO2/year.
  3. This is calculated based on estimation that the average Australian home has a carbon footprint of approximately 18t CO2/year.
  4. This is calculated based on estimation that the tailpipe CO2-e emissions for a Toyota Yaros 1.5L (travelling 14,000km annually) produces approximately 2.06T Co2-e/year.
  5. This is calculated based on life cycle assessment conducted that shows that the production, transport, use and end-of-life of an iPhone 13 Pro with 128GB storage produces approximately 69kg CO2-e.

Tackling Scope 3 Emissions:

We have an ambitious goal: By 2027, we aim to complete our assessment on all our indirect emissions (Scope 3). This includes emissions from sources including business travel, buying supplies, disposing of waste, and even the impact of our products after they are used. We want to cover all bases!

Sustainable Sourcing, Packaging & Recycling

We are actively reducing the environmental impact of our packaging by using recyclable and eco-friendly materials. By minimizing non-recylable waste and shifting towards biodegradable and reusable packaging options, we’re making it easier for our customers to recycle and reduce waste.

Waste Reduction & Recycling

Our commitment to waste reduction goes beyond packaging. Across our operations, we aim to minimize waste generation and maximize recycling efforts. We ensure that scrap materials, old cables, and e-waste are properly processed and recycled in an effective way that limits environmental harm.

Sustainable Sourcing

We partner with suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability, ensuring that the products we offer are sourced responsibly. This includes using materials that are sustainably produced and environmentally friendly, helping to minimize the environmental impact of our products.
